Sometimes bike locking techniques are like wrestling holds

Spotted at the Palo Alto Caltrain this morning. If you look carefully you can see that a secure U-lock was locked around the bikes stem. Needless to say the front tire was removed. This locking style might be called the 'stem wrap around' technique.

Just a heads up. If you do park in the outdoor racks at the Palo Alto Caltrain station. Several cable locks have been cut recently and the thieves have not been polite enough to throw away the evidence. Be careful out there.
